Frank Gehry, eat your heart out.

There’s no man-made architecture on Earth that can come close to the San Rafael Swell. Wandering through the Black Box area, I came upon this nameless mound, about 80 feet high. The bright yellow stubble, which surrounds this precarious formation, serves to light it from the underside, bringing out the bright oranges in the shot. Thanks also to the moon, which must be wondering if it’s orbiting Mars, not Earth.
